Will this remote work only with fans set up for remote control or will it work on "any" ceiling fan?


This remote will work with downrod fans (not hugger-style). This remote will work with your fan IF it either did not come from the factory with a remote OR if it had a factory installed remote with the receiver that's mounted in the canopy of the fan. Bottom line, you'll need to be able to swap out the existing receiver if the fan has an existing remote. If you need more specific help, don't hesitate to call customer service (800) 643-0067.
