How accurate is this thing? I saw this online at lowes for 9.98 not 29.98?


There is a circuit board included with the meter to calibrate the meter. Put the test probes into 2 holes and check the accuracy. $34 @ Lowe's.

i bought it 1 week ago for 29.99. Today its marked down to 19.99. $9.99 would be more like it.

I've used one for about 2 years and have found it to be just as good as my 200.00 meter and a lot easier to carry around.

The accuracy of this meter is +/- 3%. This varying reading is due to the changing density and porousness of wood and other building materials.

according to the manual it's accurate to within 3%.
