What's the proper way to break in my brand new XT8000E? I hunted in the owner's guide, but found nothing. Many thanks.

Once the generator is properly prepared for operation per the guidelines provided in the unit's owner's manual, the oil should be changed after the first 30 hours of operation and every season or 100 hours of operation thereafter (whichever comes first). Please note that the oil and oil filter should be changed every month when operating the generator under heavy load or in high temperatures. Also, using an SAE 30 oil for the unit's break-in period is required. This information, along with other product-related tips, can be found in the Maintenance section of the unit's owner's manual.
