Is the auto transfer switch included with this unit suitable for outdoor installation rather than just indoor?


Yes. Most of the time the ATS will be mounted outside next to the meter.

I would have thought that since Generac supplies the auto transfer switch with the generator unit they would know if it could be used outside. Whoops!
