does this automaticly switch from utility company to generator and back

No. You have to manually switch from utility to generator and then back. There are two lights on the front panel that indicate when there is utility power and when there is generator power presence at the switch.

As a portable generator will require manual startup, the manual transfer switch will need to be addressed manually as well; neither of these products function automatically.
