will this generac generator work ok for small air conditioners

Check the label on the unit and see what the amps for starting and/or running conditions are. If it is under 13.75 amps on the 110 duplex receptacles, yes. If it is under 27.5 amps on the 220v camper receptacle, yes.

Generac’s GP Series portable generators do not feataure Generac’s TruePower Technology, which would make a generator applicable for use with sensitive appliances and electronics, as the total harmonic distortion is limited to below 5%; neither the GP nor the XG series units feature this technology. However, if you are interested in an unit that does feature True Power Technology, we would recommend considering our XP series generators. Moreover, to verify whether or not the air conditioner to which you are referring requires a lower total harmonic distortion rating, we would recommend contacting the manufacture of the air conditioner for such specifications. Also, we would recommend ensuring that any load you intend on connecting to the generator not exceed the ratings specified for each particular outlet.
