Garmet steamer it will heat and pull
Was this Answer Helpful ?A heat gun or hair dryer on high will melt the glue its a slow process, as it heats up you can pull the film away. Then use Goo Gone to remove any mess left behind.

Spray the inside window with ammonia (the one that has the tint on it) then put the trash bag over it and cut to shape of window. Tape the trash bag and get the air bubbles out also. What this does it the trash bags trap the heat making the removal easier and in one sheet over little strips. Steel wool is what you use to get any additional ammonia residue off. You can also do what I like best, the steamer method. The steam will warm up the mixture glue. You can then use goo gone to clean up the residue. Basically any soaking method works. Like wet newspapers, but you will also need heat etc.

Spray on and let it set for about 5 minutes before you start to remove the film After you get a little start spray more liquid behind the film. Start at the top of the window and pull the film down. I have removed film from several windows and moved it to others with little problem, but the film had only been on the windows for less than 6 months
