Can this be mounted in a vertical opening or does it need to be horizontal?


Hello- Thanks so much for checking with us. This needs to be installed horizontally. The GE Profile ClearView unit is 19-5/8 inches wide. The window must open at least that far. The air conditioner can be installed in sliding window that opens as far as 19-5/8”, but you'll need to provide your own window filler above the unit.
