There are suds at the bottom of the dishwasher when finished

Please make sure you only use automatic dishwasher detergent. Using liquid dishwashing detergent which you use when hand washing dishes should not be used in a dishwasher. Also, there may be residue of rinse agent in a new dishwasher as we often use a rinse agent on the gasket as part of the manufacturing process. This residue can cause sudsing, bubbles, or foaming. Please wipe the gasket carefully with warm water to get rid of this residue. To ensure the removal of the suds: - Open the door and let any remaining suds dissipate. - Pump out the excess water by selecting the Rinse cycle and pressing the Start pad. Then press and hold the Start pad for 3 seconds to cancel the cycle. - Next, pour two gallons of cold water into the bottom of the dishwasher and select the Rinse cycle and press Start. Then press and hold the Start pad for 3 seconds to cancel the cycle. - Repeat these steps until suds are no longer present in the tub. If you continue to find suds in the dishwasher, please call Bodewell Service at 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) to schedule a service appointment to have your unit evaluated by one of our highly trained service technicians as we are confident they can help.
