The inside of the dishwasher is always wet the next day after a cycle even if I turn on the dry boost. The dishes are dry, but will mold be an issue?

Hey there - we’re glad you reached out! A small amount of water in a dishwasher (like a cup or two) in the bottom when the wash cycle is complete is normal. Each time the dishwasher is used, this water is removed, and new fresh water is there so mold or mildew does not occur. A large amount of water remaining in the bottom is not normal. If your dishwasher is not draining, you will typically see an excess amount of water in the bottom of the tub. If this is the case, we recommend searching for the article titled “Dishwasher - Not Draining” on our GE Appliances website in the Support section for ways to remedy this issue. Additionally, you can also do a citric acid wash to clean the inside of the dishwasher to remove any build up that has formed on the interior. Search for the article titled “Dishwasher - Citric Acid Wash for Interior Cleaning and Stains” on our GE Appliances website for detailed instructions. If these tips don’t help, service may be needed. You can schedule service online by visiting the GE Appliances website or by calling 1-800-432-2737. We hope this helps! Lauren@GEAppliances
