Hello! Does this dishwasher have a heating element that makes the water to wash it? Thank you!!


Yes, this does have a heating element. The calrod heating element heats the water for the pre-rinse and main wash portions of the cycle. It brings the wash temperature to the proper levels for dissolving detergent, food fats, starches, sugars, and grease (maximum of 140 degrees Fahrenheit). If your water heater is in your garage or basement, we recommend turning your hot water on before turning on your dishwasher. This will improve the cleaning and drying. Thank you! Joyce@GEAppliances
