Can this washer be used with only the cold water hose connected? Lowes installed and there is a leak at hot water valve. Plumber or rubber washers?

Because of recent industry-wide changes, you'll find more mixing of hot water and cold water for Hot and Warm cycles. The overall temperature can vary depending on the incoming hot and cold water temperature, the hot or cold water pressure, lid openings, etc. The hot and cold water hoses included with the washer are equipped with rubber washers and strainer screens. If these are not installed, there will be water leaking from the fill hoses at the faucet.
