Can it be used to patch a hole in vinyl siding. If so, is it paintable?

Hi there Larry, great question! Flex Tape is designed to adhere to almost any surface. However, some vinyl and plastic surface materials may resist adhesion due to the amount of Poly-Olefins that they contain to protect their products from environmental factors. Olefins are a polymer designed to resist adhesion, and unfortunately, there is no way of knowing how much of this polymer is in a particular piece of vinyl since the manufacturers do not have to disclose this information. For this reason, we always recommend testing on a small area first. Additionally, Flex Tape cannot be painted over as paint will not adhere to it.
