could you cut a 16 gauge steel sheet

Thank you for contacting Fiskars. We would not recommend this tool for cutting steel that thick. In fact, even aviation snips, which are dedicated to the job of cutting sheet steel, would struggle with 16-gauge steel (they typically recommend for up to 18-gauge, which is thinner than 16-gauge). But aviation-style snips would be our recommendation.
