Will this work for Nutsedge or Nutgrass?

The Deluxe 4-Claw Weeder with Eject is designed to tackle deep-rooted weeds, and it works best on weeds with a central taproot—like dandelions and thistles. While it can remove some types of grassy weeds, nutsedge (or nutgrass) tends to spread through underground tubers called nutlets, which often break off and remain in the soil when pulled. You may be able to dislodge some of the plant with our weeder, especially if the soil is moist, but it likely won’t remove all the nutlets. For more effective long-term control of nutsedge, a combination of removal methods—including targeted herbicide treatment—is often recommended.
