Work on a steep hill? Rough yard?

From my experience, you need a flat even yard to even consider this mower. I found it very difficult to turn at the end of each strip and it was difficult to keep aligned when crossing a very gentle slope.
Was this Answer Helpful ?My backyard has a 3 foot drop off from the patio level to the rest of the yard. I didn't try to mow facing uphill or downhill, I just mowed parallel to the hill, so 3 passes of the cut I was basically on a slant. Worked fine, not too heavy to maneuver. Ii don't know how steep your drop-off is
Was this Answer Helpful ?I would not use this mower on any yard except a VERY flat surface
Was this Answer Helpful ?It is a push mower so a power mower would probably be better but if you don't mind the exercise, it should work fine.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Depends on your cutting height and thickness of lawn. We have a level yard with just a small rise at the street. Depending on direction I am moving it can be a hassle turning around and pushing up that small rise.
Was this Answer Helpful ?no, flat yard
Was this Answer Helpful ?You can definitely feel the difference between up and downhill slopes so I can imagine a steep hill being a pain unless you go sideways along the slope and our isn't sloped enough to tell if it would cut evenly that way or not. The rough part would depend on how short you cut your grass I think and how fast you go. The faster you push, the more it would bounce because of the little bit of help it gives you pushing.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes this can work up a hill and still cut even.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes, the mower is decently light weight and works on an incline. It cuts the grass evenly, so you can't tell that the yard isn't level.
