I have weeds growing in my gravel lot. I hAve used a weed killer, but have patches of dead weeds I'd like to remove. Will this work through the gravel

If your gravel is loose enough, I think this tool would technically work. However, I would think the gravel will likely dull the blade and beat up this tool rather quickly. You are probably better off just waiting for the dead weeds to decompose- there might be another product or DIY recipe that you could spray on them to aide in that process. Another solution might be to use a power washer to blast away the dead weeds (usually once they are dead they pull up rather easily), or maybe even some sort of torch to burn them if you aren't in a dry region where wildfires would be a concern.

This weeder will work if you have pull access to the plant roots.
