Directions say to place one vial in basement, my house has a crawl space beneath with dirt floor. How will thi affect the test?


Per the directions on the back of the product, "Place your test kit...in the lowest LIVING area of your home". It shouldn't effect the test at all. The only thing I would suggest is, if you want to test your crawl space, place a separate test in said crawl space.
