is this product DOT approved?


The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, a branch of DOT doesn't approve individual extinguishers. Thier guidelines can be found in 49 CFR sec 395.95. Basic guidelines are approval by Underwriters Laboratory (UL) with a rating of 5 B:C or 10 B:C if transporting HAZMAT, a secure mounting bracket, visual pressure guage and an agent that doesn't need protection from freezing. Based on these requirements this extinguisher meets the FMCSA/DOT requirements
