Do these have a 10 year battery back up shelf life?


The main thing that kills a battery in this unit is if you have an extended power outage, as the battery is what keeps you safe during that outage. I do not believe that these claim 10 year life. I just replaced mine after several years, but we had had a 4 day power outage a month before. The unit will beep if it needs a new battery
