wondering about battery replacement, is it easy or screw-off?


Battery change is not a big deal. There is a side snap on the side that you open and a little plastic tray/wing swings out with the square 9-volt battery inside. Just pay attention to how the battery comes out as far as positive (small connection point) and negative (bigger battery connection). Now, the alarm is setup so you would blow the unit if you put it in backwards but it is really not that well marked so just remember how it comes out and you will be fine. Also, make sure you "snap" the battery tray fully closed when you re-install. If you get it wrong the unit will beep every minute to tell you something is wrong with the battery.

Battery replacement is easy, pull out a door and replace the 9V battery.

The battery access cover is on the side of it, so you don't even have to unscrew it to change the battery, making it very easy and convenient.
