Is an electricain recommended to hook up to AC

I'm not an electrician and over time I've hooked up ceiling fans, outlets, switches, and two of these hardwired smoke detectors last week. Not hard at all. Just be careful, turn power off, and follow the directions. Much better to learn to do for yourself what you can. You can always get directions online as well.

I believe this is how the units are set up now: Unless the unit is integrated with a security system (which uses a small lead-acid rechargeable battery in the control compartment as a backup for A/C power), a backup battery (often 9V) generally now is incorporated with A/C smoke detectors. It's likely that Uncle Sam had something to do with this.... With my 9120B, if the battery isn't OK or installed correctly, the unit chirps--every minute. This also is true for alarm systems--given that its lead-acid battery is weak or missing. The small word "BAT" in the display also appears. (Chirping may not occur every minute with alarm systems.) Both homeowners and businesses find this annoying.

I would recommend using an electrician if you are not simply replacing existing detector(s) that are already hard wired.
