look in your instructions. If all else fails, unplug the unit and install a new one. Perhaps you battery is low and needs to be replaced. A low battery will sound the alarm

Usually it is dust collection on the sensor, get a can of pressurized air, Lowes sells it, and blow it out in every possible crack and crevice , if that doesnt help it needs to be replaced.
