Replaced smoke detector but still chirping

LOOK AT ALARM MANUAL,U CAN FIND IT ON LINE ALSO,THE CHIRP AND PAUSE CAN MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS, I HAVE HAD SEVERAL ALARMS GO BAD WITHIN A YEAR,IF IT CHIRPS THEN PAUSE FOR 30 SECONDS THE ALARM NEEDS REPLACED.(DIFFERENT MFGS.HAVE DIFFERENT CODES)
Was this Answer Helpful ?first of all, smoke detectors are only good for 10 years due to the nature of the detector material. Why that particular one chirps with a new detector, I would first see if there is anything in the atmosphere at the location that could cause it. Certain coditions other than smoke can trip the alarm. If not you may need a Electrician to check your wiring.
