I have gas logs about 25 feet from where detector will be mounted, willthat set off the fire portion of alarm?


If your gas logs set off the detector that is an indication your fireplace is not properly vented. Stop using the fireplace until you have it inspected, and make sure you have a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home as well.

No. My gas logs are about 15 feet away and it doesn’t go off.
