How many detectors can be on one circuit?

It's best NOT to put them on one circuit. If that circuit ever opens, you'll never know it. Rather wire them from existing light circuits. If the lights are on, the power is ON to the smokes. Then chain the red 'switched' wires together so they all go off together. ............or get the RF units that are hardwired but communicate through RF. Their amperage draw is hardly anything as all they do is sit there...... not a topic.
