Is the battery sealed or can you change it if it goes off unnecessarily?


Thank you for your question. The battery is a back-up battery and is not designed to be changed. The battery drawer is shipped pre locked. If the unit goes off unnecessarily, there is a test/silence button you can press to silence the alarm.

It does not come with a battery side. You install a 9-volt battery as a backup in case the power goes out.
