What is the shear strength of the screw?


Thank you for your question, The shear strength for the 8" HeadLOK screw depends on the species of lumber that it is being used on and the direction in which the load is applied in reference to the grain of the wood. In SPF lumber it is 230 pounds when the load is perpendicular to grain or 260 when it's parallel to grain. in SYP it is 280 (perp) and 290 (par).
