What is the fire rating for steel roofs


Under the International Building Code (and Chap. 15 of the CA Building Code), all steel (ferrous) roofing is automatically given a Class "A" ('stand alone') fire rating in residential applications and are considered to be in compliance with ASTM E-108, UL Standard 790 or NFPA Standard 276 by default.
