Can this be used to prime metal before painting


Thank you for taking the time to ask a question. Yes, here are the directions for metal. New galvanized surfaces should be allowed to age 6 months before painting. Wash to remove any oil, grease or other surface contamination using a water-based cleaner-degreaser. Do not use hydrocarbon solvents for cleaning.
