I bought 3 packages of these puck lights in February. Everytime I go to use them, I have to change the batteries.

Hello Valued Customer, thank you for your question. Our Energizer Remote Controlled Puck Lights offer 2 modes, RF or by manually switching on and off. The RF mode will drain the batteries quicker versus manually turning the fixtures on and off. With normal usage (activating the light around 4 operations a day) in RF mode, the battery life for this light bar is around 25 hours if left in RF mode continuously. To prolong the life your battery, we recommend that you switch the mode to ON/Off instead of RF.
