Can anyone tell me how long before the active burner cools down to touch? Any problems with scratching? Thank you

Hi Kris, An induction cooktop uses an electromagnetic field to heat up a pan, once you turn the burner off, the magnetic field dissipates. As only the base of the pan is heated and not the entire hob, you can't burn your hand on the hob as it stays almost completely cold. Please install it by a licensed contractor.
