Is the foam gasket used to prevent the rubber gasket from distorting during tightening? Shouldn't it go between the rubber gasket and locknut?


Thank you for your question on the Elkay LK200SS Basket Sink Strainer. This model has a rubber seal ring that goes between the drain body and the sink and then a rubber washer that goes between the sink and the lock nut.
