If I pull the chain to turn the light off, does the outlet also turn off?


The Eaton answer is wrong. ElViejo is correct. Look at the wiring. The line wire (from the circuit breaker box) is directly connected to the outlet. So the outlet is always on. The pull chain will only turn the light on and off. BTW, I just installed one and it works as I just stated.
