Which post is hot and which is ground


There are 2 connections on this fixture, a hot and a neutral. The hot (black) wire should connect to the center post and the neutral (white) wire should connect to the outer threaded ring. The screws where the wires connect are typically a brass color for the hot wire and a silver color for the neutral.
