Which of the teminals is the hot one? There is no marking on the back of the switch.


Thank you for your question. The hot wire can be connected to either of the brass screw terminals.

A single pole switch has no "Hot" terminal, either screw terminal can be used and are interchangeable.

the two brass colored screws on the side are hot. Remember you do not connect a neutral wire to a switch as the switch opens or closes the hot connection to the switch device.

In small print mine said "hot" it's the terminal with the BLACK screw.
