Is it physically possible for a #12 wire to fit in the back push-in slots? Want to make sure I didn't force a #12 in where it shouldn't be.


Hello, yes some people have informed me that they shaved down the conductor to force it into the hole. This is TOTALLY UNSAFE and voids all UL and Warranty. The unit is clearly marked to use ONLY #14 gauge solid copper wire. In the case above the customer will create a HOT SPOT and the unit will fail. PLEASE do not attempt.
