Switch works but does not illuminate when in the off position. Why?


No, to previous answer. The switch's terminals are Hot (power), Load (your light), and Ground. Flip the swich On, it completes the ciruit: Hot to Load to your light or appliance. If you connect Neutral to the switch -- Load terminal? -- when you flip the switch on, it will SHORT CIRCUIT!

Hello not knowing your wiring configuration I can only say a Hot, Neutral and Ground need to be hooked up to the unit. Thank you
