Can I use this 15 amp light switch on a 20 amp circuit? Switch controls 3 pendant lights in kitchen, LED bulbs using less than 10 watts total.


Hello, if the local Electrical inspector approves, then it would be okay to use a 15amp device on a 20amp circuit. Please note that the PUSH-IN wiring method cannot be used because it the PUSH-IN wiring method will ONLY accept # 14 solid copper wire. 20amp circuits do require the use of #12 gauge stranded copper wire.
