how do you ground a bus bar
2
In your main service panel it is required that the neutral bus be grounded by the grounding electrode conductor and the neutral bonding screw be installed effectively bonding the panel box to ground. The ground bar is grounded when it is mounted to the panel back. In a subpanel the neutral bonding screw should not be installed and the ground bar is grounded by the equipment grounding conductor in the 4-wire subpanel feeder. If in a detached building, the grounding electrode conductor from the required ground rod will also be terminated on the ground bar.
