Will this fit a Whirpool 50 gallon water tank?


I bought this for 1-1/16 socket head bolt on a 2009 whirlpool waterheater but the threads don't seal, so not sure if the anode or the tank threads are the issue. It screws on but leaks.

Please refer to your owner's manual for the proper size needed for your water heater. The anode rod is 45 inch long and the segments can be cut to size.
