Does 0.5 maximum PSI mean it can only support that much pressure in the pipe? Nearly every propane setup easily uses more PSI than that.


This is for use AFTER a regulator. Standard output pressure for an LP gas regulator (input to household appliances and heaters) is 11 inches of H2O (water) = 0.397 PSI.

Hello DonnyV, Thank you for your question. For use with natural and LP (propane) gases at 1/2 psi maximum. Most cities require a gas ball valve to be installed within easy reach, no more than 6 feet from the appliance.  Please check with your local codes to see if they differ. You should always ensure that use of this connector meets all Brasscraft application specifications and is not being used on an appliance with rollers or casters.  If you need any other assistance, please contact our Customer Support Team at 877-272-7755.
