the dremel router bits are also in 1/8 in shank?


The Dremel Trio is discontinued as it utilized an odd collet tool shank diameter of 3/16 inch (0.1875") as opposed to industry standard 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch (way to big for any Dremel motors) or even just sticking with the regular Dremel 1/8 inch collet / shank size. Customers cannot just go out and buy "router" bits and so did not sell enough I can only guess. For what it's worth I still use mine with their bits for tight small work and resharpen the Dremel bits when the real routers are too big.

The shafts are 3/16" dia. I got them thinking they were 1/8" and would fit foredom tool. They won't fit.

1/8 in shank. I wanted a larger blade.
