Will this work with cutting bits?

I used the plunge router with a rotary cutting bit for my first project, cutting out a door panel. Once I discovered that direction of travel makes a difference, it worked quite well. Don't try to cut too deep in a single pass; it is not as rigid as a metal router base, and flexes under pressure of a heavy cut.
