Thank you for your question. We do recommend filling your soap dispenser from the top to prevent bottle breakage from taking the bottle on and off. To fill the soap dispenser of the Delta Dunsley Pull-Down Kitchen 19756Z-SPSD-DST faucet, lift the head and pump assembly out of the bottle and pour not more than 8 oz. into bottle. We do offer a funnel (RP30395) that may make it easier when filling your soap dispenser from the top. Best regards, Tanya
