Is it possible to apply this to fill crack and apply a coat of regular drywall compound that I can then sand?


We would not recommend the application of a joint compound, spackling compound or similar "hard setting" repair compound over DAP ElastoPatch. DAP ElastoPatch is designed to be flexible, as such, hard setting repair compound placed over it will be prone to crack.
