I have put the patching compound in the crack, I now have to finish the drywall for a smooth coat. Do I use the elastopatch or sparkling compound?


Thank you for posting your inquiry. If DAP ElastoPatch has already been applied, we would recommend that the final finish be done with ElastoPatch as well. Because DAP ElastoPatch is a flexible patching compound, the application of hard setting compounds such as traditional spackling and/or joint compound are not recommended. Of note, ElastoPatch (All Versions) is not sandable, all finishing work must be completed while the product is still "wet".
