How thick of a limb will this cut?

Six to eight inches would be okay. You can go bigger you just wouldn't have a very large stroke but it an be done. This saw cuts!!!

I would say up to 5 or 6 inches and maybe a little more am not for sure, the bigger they are the longer it takes to cut.

If you are familiar with a Japanese pruning saw, this one will tackle a larger limb. Several inches would be my guess. It is a great saw. If it looks bigger than what you think this would work for, then perhaps you are looking for more of a chain saw action. Don't forget to start a cut from underneath the branch/limb to start with so the bark will not tear into your tree when you make your top cut.

Hello DLH! I have cut "most" woods that were 4" thick with this saw with no problems! Now....if you're CUTTING OAK, CHERRY or other type REAL HARD WOODS it WOULD be a little difficult! As I said..."MOST" woods!
