does keypad have a low battery warning and how should the battery be changed?


No Low Battery Light. I installed mine 9 years ago and it's still on the first battery. Remove it from the mounting (if there is no battery access panel in the front) and pop open the panel cover in the back. Changing is self explanatory just by looking at it once the panel is off.
