Does this require WiFi?


Yes, it does. Even with a new router, 3 feet away, it will not get a signal. Get the basic key pad instead.

Hi Tmill. The myQ Video Keypad must be within 50 feet of your Wi-Fi router and is compatible to operate with Wi-Fi networks on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz frequencies. In order to use the myQ features included, it must be connected to your network.
